Intro: Do not gently go

To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death.  Out, out, brief candle!
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

  1. Ahh David. I see myself within my mirror as an elderly (60 is the new 40 – bah) round white haired woman. In my heart, I see the wild and passionate young woman who would listen to the radio too loudly and hold up a lit cigarette lighter – who gave her whole being to love with no regrets – grief, but no regrets. The Wren who would dance in the moonlight with her Samurai to the music the night makes. I know you and the Beauteous One, are in your hearts still fresh and new in your love and still the fairy tale couple.

    Candles burn out and their light disappears, but somewhere, somehow, someone has memories of how their world was illuminated briefly by that fire, as I remember the candles burning on my birthday cake when I was 16.

      And…I am working on a post, the wayward (or Naughty, or Dancing) Crinoline. it is a prose post. I have a few paragraphs to go. ( hope it will garner some good chuckles from folks, especially those who are parents to such as I was in my youth.
