Sonnet V: Thy Love

Thy love will heal all that which may be healed,
And nary harm the healed thou wouldst protect;
Although thy ranks are tempted to neglect
By conjurers the wounded thou wouldst shield.

For that thou know such legions incorrect
To ‘list; For that thy strength is thine; concealed
Amidst a century’s decline, revealed
This siege; so thou this web of lies suspect.

Thy legions racked and perished by the score,
Though others drawn and dead were legions more.
Yet still thy ranks would nurture love and joy,
That blameless thwart such frauds as bid thee hate:
And fiends who tempt thy power to destroy
Will chafe against thy power to create.

  • Dear RLK,
    Dare I bring thy
    Wordly spirit thence?

  1. Lovely writing as always Mr. Emeron. It is a beautiful compliment to the thoughts expressed in the piece from the other day. Thank you so much for sharing it. Hope you are well.

    • And I am relieved also. I thought perhaps you might find my words presumptuous. They source from much more than the single post. They are a distillation of all I have read by you and of you thus far reflecting off the mirror of that post.

    • Nope. The intermuse is its own individual thing as well. It speaks its own mind at times. Carry on. At this point, I take very little intermusing personally for good or bad. It is a gift to be bemused and bemusing. One I draw from all the time. Hope you and the Lady Emeron are doing alright and finding the weather warmer than I am.

    • I am glad to hear it! And thank you so very much for your well wishes. And… that is the paradox of the “time to write.” If one just writes then one gets it done; but if one reads and answers comments then one may find something better about which to write.

And the Lady and I are both quite well.
